Dates

We take the kids on dates as much as we can.  Here's Ellie on one with Shane.  Max isn't as easy to convince to take a pic.  Especially next to a weird grass reindeer.

Merry Christmas 2011

My parents and Brandi came for Christmas.  We had a wonderful time enjoying Cohen's "first" Christmas. Ellie's is at a "magical" Christmas age and Max is at an "all-knowing", yet grateful, Christmas age.

New fav toy

Here is mom's early Christmas present and Cohen's new favorite entertainment.  The timing of the old ones breaking was perfect.  He learned to pull to standing because he wanted to see in these so much.

First food

Cohen's first taste of rice cereal!  Of course sister was there to be a big helper too!

Tractor Rides

This is the newest addition to the household.  He's so sweet and gives the kids and their friends rides around the yard.  So fun!  It's nice that yardwork doesn't take 3 hours anymore.

Sassy Carnival

This is when she began to perfect the sassy pose.  She must've learned it from the girls at school.  Here's her excitement at getting her hair sprayed pink at the school carnival.  She was so excited for her first school event.  She's definitely a social girl - she loved it!

Momma Love

Ellie the photographer took this one.  I love it because its my face of the pure joy of  motherhood.  Amidst the craziness of life's details and to do's, these kids give me more joy than I could've ever imagined.  I am so grateful to be a forever family.

Sisterly Love

This girl loves her brother so much.  She lives for holding him, kissing him, cuddling him, taking pictures with him...you get the point.  The phrase "loves him to death" comes to mind often.

Nikes

On our way home from a trip, we passed an outlet and picked up some Nikes for those of us who didn't have any.  We're a complete set now.

Some favs

Swimming with the fam

Swimming with the fam....this little guy is so calm in the water its pretty amazing.  The first time I took him in he was 6 weeks old, the water was cold, and he didn't even flinch.  He may just be a little fish.
